Everything you need to know about Halal dining at Adega Gaucha – what's available, how to request it, the best halal steakhouse near you, and how we handle it in our kitchen.
Adega Gaucha is a full-service Brazilian steakhouse. While select cuts are Halal and prepared with care, our restaurant, kitchen, and Full Churrasco Experience are not certified Halal in their entirety. We explain exactly what that means below so you can make an informed decision before you visit.
Guests can enjoy Halal versions of several of our most popular churrasco cuts, prepared to order with dedicated care:
Our signature top sirloin cap, the heart of any authentic churrasco — flame-grilled over open charcoal and seasoned with coarse sea salt.
Tender, herb-seasoned, and flame-grilled over open fire for a delicate, succulent flavor and tender texture.
Slow-cooked over open flame for hours for deep, smoky flavor and incredible fall-off-the-bone tenderness.
Lean, tender, and always a guest favorite seasoned to perfection with Brazilian sea salt and light fire caramelization.
A classic Brazilian rump cut, juicy and full of natural robust beef flavor, carved continuously at your table.
A rich, marbled cut prized for its juicy texture, deep flavor profile, and tender melt-in-your-mouth bite.
Availability of specific Halal cuts may vary by day and by location, depending on supply. We recommend confirming which Halal cuts are available before your visit.
Because Halal cuts are prepared to order, simply mention Halal meats when booking your table online or calling our team in advance.
Many of our side dishes, salads, and desserts are naturally suitable for guests following a Halal diet. Our servers are happy to walk you through which sides and desserts fit your preferences when you arrive.

Helpful Tip: Because Halal cuts are prepared to order, we recommend requesting them when you book your reservation. This gives our kitchen team time to prepare and helps ensure the smoothest possible experience.
We know "Halal" means different things to different guests, so here's exactly where we stand:
Our Halal cuts – picanha, lamb chops, beef ribs, filet mignon, alcatra, and beef ancho – are sourced as Halal from our suppliers.
Halal cuts are prepared on request and subject to availability; they are not offered automatically as part of every dining package or the Full Churrasco Experience by default.
Our full menu includes items that are not Halal, and our kitchen prepares both Halal and non-Halal dishes in the same facility (see Preparation & Service Protocol below).
We'd rather be precise than vague; if you have questions about sourcing for a specific visit or event, just ask your server or contact your location directly before you book.
Our kitchen team follows specific protocols when handling and cooking Halal meats:
Separate utensils are used for Halal cuts to prevent cross-contact with non-Halal items throughout the cooking and carving process.
Separate grill space is designated for Halal meats during preparation over our open-flame Brazilian churrasqueira.
Halal orders are prepared to order, coordinated with your server and our kitchen team from the moment you request them.
Follow these 3 simple steps for the smoothest Halal churrasco dining experience:
When booking online via OpenTable or by phone, mention you would like Halal cuts so our kitchen team can prepare ahead.
Upon seating, inform your server that you requested Halal cuts. They will ensure dedicated utensils and service protocols are followed.
Savor fresh, flame-grilled picanha, lamb chops, beef ribs, and filet mignon prepared with dedicated care and carved at your table.
Everything you need to know about Halal dining at Adega Gaucha.

You can request Halal meats when making your reservation or once you arrive at the restaurant. We highly recommend informing your server ahead of time or during your booking, so our kitchen has time to prepare, and this makes for a smoother, more comfortable experience.

Our kitchen team follows specific protocols for Halal meats, including using separate utensils and a separate grill area to help prevent cross-contamination with non-Halal items.
Halal and non-Halal food is prepared in the same kitchen. We use separate utensils and a dedicated grill space specifically for Halal cuts to reduce the risk of cross-contact, but our kitchen and menu as a whole are not exclusively Halal.

Not currently. Our Halal cuts are Halal-sourced from our suppliers, but Adega Gaucha does not currently hold third-party Halal certification for the restaurant as a whole. If this changes, we'll update this page to reflect it.
No, the Full Churrasco Experience as a whole is not Halal. Specific cuts within it can be prepared as Halal upon request, subject to availability, but the experience is not certified or served as fully Halal by default.
The most reliable way is to contact your preferred location directly when booking your reservation and let us know you'd like Halal cuts. This gives our team time to confirm availability and prepare accordingly. You're also welcome to ask when you arrive, though advance notice is recommended.
